Telling stories in form and color…

My goal is to tell stories in form and color that highlight traditions and values from around the world.

My name is Glenn Nordal and I am a Canadian artist. Choosing to sell my creations to the world through this site has been a long and involved journey. I have always had a keen interest in practicing art starting with my first oil paintings in my younger days, but never pursued it full time.

Taking the plunge over five years ago to create and sell art full time was quite a step, but I always enjoy a challenge. I started carving my first mystical characters and figures five years ago and selling them at Art Fairs whenever I could. It has been one of the most satisfying and creative endeavors that I have every encountered in my life.

The medium I use is fired sandstone that creates completely one of kind patterns every time. Each piece is unique and won’t be created twice. I start with huge fired blocks of sandstone, then cut, carve and harden each item using method that I developed (patent pending) for a natural looking and 100% earth friendly work of art.

In our modern world it seems to be a generally accepted rule that materials and labor are automatically outsourced as a part of normal business. I would like to take a moment to note to our current and potential customers that our works of art are fully crafted in North America from regionally sourced materials.
