The Celts believed that dragons were creatures of the parallel world and their power and presence would affect the ley of the land; the invisible lines of power hidden in the depths of the earth. The path of the dragons, called a vein, was critical to the flow of energy through the ley and locations were the dragon would cross or spots where they would stop to rest become were known to have heightened power, wisdom and strength. Stonehenge is believed to be one such location whose ancient power still fascinates modern peoples the world over.
